The idea behind the journal

I found great joy in documenting each of my pregnancies of my children. Each time, my mom purchased me a beautiful baby book where I wrote each milestone and important fact. I taped samples of their hair and photos. Even as teenagers, my children find great joy in looking at their own baby book. Every member of my family has one - my parents and my siblings. 

After bringing 6 children into this world as a surrogate I longed for the same documentation for their parents. I kept a blog for each one but I felt there was something missing. I wanted them to have something tangible their child could look at whenever they wanted.

So, during a pregnancy, I sat down and designed every detail I thought it should include. My mom is a long time graphic artist and was able to turn my drawings into something beautiful. She designed both the front and back covers and chose the joyful artwork. 

To date, I have sold over 300 journals. They have even shipped internationally. Each time I put one in an envelope and mail it off I am filled with happiness. Happiness in knowing this journal is for another family that is being newly formed. A new journey, a new life, and wonderful memories. 

I am grateful for all of my supports online and at home. The surrogacy world is not always pretty but, with effort, we can make it what it should be.
